Kalamazoo Scottish Fesitval and Games

The weather was very Scottish like and very unlike Michigan in August. Crowds were smaller then last year. Pipping went well as did the athletics. This year was the Highland Coo competition as well, and I can say, the highland coo was very tasty on Friday night :) Pics from the event.

Beer Bottling weekend

Bottled the beer over the weekend that we made 3 weeks ago. Came out real good, another 30 days and it will be ready for drinking!

PICS:

Kevin and his friend Bart bottling.
And bottling building.

It was a good weekend, but very hot and sticky.

This coming weekend is the Scottish Highland Games and Festival in Kalamazoo.

Then the Renn Fest Highland Fling weekend.

Historical Reenactment - Ft. Mulden, Ontario, CA

St. Andrew Highland Games

Saturday August 1st was there 160th anniversary of the St. Andrew Highland Games and Festival. They are the oldest games in North America. The weather was great, the crowds large and the kith and kin very plentiful. It was a good day over all.

Monday

It is Monday, a beautiful day out weather wise, a little down time from the weekend, it was non-stop, with my aunt's funeral, the St. Andrews Highland Games and the Historical reenactment at Ft. Mulden in Amhurstberg Ontario, CA.

Things to get done before lodge today, so off I go.
